Help support patients with eating disorders
Stacey Helman has struggled with an eating disorder since she was 11 years old. She started bingeing at a very young age, and she hated her body and the way she felt about herself. She was not happy in her life and was ashamed to be seen eating, even in front of her family.
“After four years of therapy at the Easting Disorders Institute at Reuth, I’ve take off the mask. Even when there were times when I felt like letting go, they did not let me go.”
The Eating Disorders Institute is a dedicated unit within Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital, bringing together the best professionals – medical practitioners, psychotherapists, nutritionists, group therapists and family counsellors. The Institute’s central message is that eating disorders can be treated and full rehabilitation is possible. It focuses on rehabilitation, recovery, and a return to a normal, healthy life.
“People come here several times a week, whilst maintaining their daily routine. That is one of the things that is so special about this Institute. Patients will receive treatment from a variety of medical professionals to help them recover.” Amiz Zendakovich – Director of the Eating Disorders Institute
