Help IDF soldiers
Sa’ar Raveh is married with three young daughters and is a decorated IDF hero. A number of injuries during his military service as a company commander in the Golani Infantry Brigade left him with several disabilities.
He was confined to a wheel chair, and two months ago, he came to Reuth Medical and Rehabilitation Centre, suffering from severe paralysis due to an inflammation of the protective membrane of the brain.
His wife, insisted that he be hospitalized at Reuth. “Thanks to her, I am here, and I could not have hoped for a more caring or professional place”. “The transformation from a highly active and dynamic person into one who is incapacitated and dependent on others is very difficult. It’s a feeling of complete helplessness for which I was totally unprepared”
During these difficult times, the main thing
is not to give up. “I am quite familiar with the traits of stubbornness,
perseverance and endurance. I can still remember how, as a soldier, I refused
to quit after being injured and losing an eye.”
“I owe everything to Reuth, the professional staff simply won’t give in, even when the going gets tough”.
His treatments at Reuth have weaned him from his feeding tube and restored his ability to walk independently. “My daily schedule is very intense, including occupational and speech therapies, and working with modern rehabilitation technologies. In my struggle to resume my life, I know that I am in the best possible hands.”
“With Reuth’s help, every day ushers in a new beginning and another step forward”
